Pin It now!
Is it really Friday?! This week has been a pretty long and stressful week with Dawson being sick and having to get everything for his party ready by myself. (I don't think I've mentioned that my husband is deployed, but he is, and it sucks!) I think Dawson is feeling better, but he has the WORST diaper rash. It's probably from the Amoxicillian that he's on. I can tell his little bum is hurting so bad and nothing I am doing is making it any better. :-(
Despite this week being so hectic, I still managed to read Dawson a story after his morning nap everyday. I love when I am getting him out of his crib and he reaches for the books on his shelf. It's neat that he already looks forward to and gets excited about storytime.
This week we read A Surprise for the Nutbrown Hares by Sam McBratney.
I love this story because it reminds me a lot of how I play with Dawson. In the book, Little Nutbrown Hare and Big Nutbrown Hare take turns chasing each other around acting like monsters. :-) Dawson LOVES it when I chase him and make monster sounds. A lot of the time he will start crawling down the hall and then stop and turn around to see if I am following him. When he does this I know he wants the "tickle monster" to come after him.
Dawson loves this book, too. Probably because it has the word "monster" in it a lot. *lol* Every time I say "monster" he makes scary noises and/or laughs. :-) He's such a boy!
To see what others are reading this week head on over to Three A's and a C.

shame, Mikalea also gets diaper rash when she has an ear infection. The Doctor explained that it can be the actual infection causing it and not just the antibiotics. What works like a charm for her is if I give her something like Reuteri with the antibiotics (probiotic) It counteracts all the nasty effects the antibiotics have on their little bodies.
I really hope Dawson feels better soon. That is just too sweet that he reaches for the books each day. :) Have you read "Guess How Much I Love You" by the same author? I love it. I'll have to see if the library has this book, too.
