Dawson is getting better at knowing where some body parts are and pointing to them when I ask him to, so I thought this would be a good week to read Where Is Baby's Belly Button? By Karen Katz.
It's a lift-the-flap book, so it will say "where is baby's belly button" and then you have to lift the flap to see her belly button. So far Dawson knows where his hair, belly, tongue and feet are. And about an hour ago he pointed to his ear when I asked him where it was, but he's only done that once so it might have been a fluke.
Here is a video that I took of him this morning. Usually he will grab his feet when I ask where they are, but this time he just moved them.
To see what others are reading this week visit Three A's and a C, and don't forget to link up and join in on the fun. :-)

I've seen this book around. I'll have to pick it up next time I see it. Ashlyn is getting really good at knowing her body parts, too. I'm actually thinking of starting a little "school" with her. Each week we'll do fun things focusing on a different letter, number, color, body part, etc. I think it will be so much fun! I am going to coordinate it a little with the color series of MTM. Anyway, I love the video!!!
The video is sooo cute! What a handsome and smart little one you have on your hands!
What a precious video! JDaniel tried to unscrew his belly button with his wooden screw driver this week. I guess he wanted to see what was inside.
He is just the cutest little thing! @JDaniel4's Mom - Mouse tried to open her's with a hairclip yesterday! *LOL*
It is amazing to see how the little ones grow and learn!
Looks like a cute book, will see if I can find it here.
We have this giggle & grow Baby's Body Board book (from the library)- it would be perfect for Dawson- it has actual photos of infants pointing to their ears, toes, etc. My son copies what they are doing in the pictures. I remember reading somewhere that at this age they like to look at babies and female faces.
Also, if he likes the flap books...my son loved the Peek-A-Zoo, Peek-a-Moo, Peek-A- a lot more, can't remember the titles or the author but your library would for sure know what books you are talking about :)
My son has me reading Llama Llama Red Pajama over and over. It's so cute listening to him try to repeat the words.
