Bread Machine Cinnamon Rolls

If you have a bread maker and you love cinnamon rolls then you *must* try this recipe that I found over at Money Saving Mom. They are SO easy and they taste SO good!

Bread Machine Cinnamon Rolls

Dough:
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons warm milk
3 tablespoons canola oil
1 egg, lightly beaten plus 2 egg whites
1/2 cup sugar
4 cups flour (Add a bit more if dough seems too wet after first few minutes of kneading in the bread machine.)
1 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons active yeast

Filling:
2 tablespoons butter
2/3 cup brown sugar mixed with 1 tablespoon cinnamon

Icing:
1 teaspoon milk (I had to add more milk because it just wasn't coming together for me.)
1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
4 tablespoons (or less) butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla

Put the dough ingredients in the bread machine in the order listed and run on the dough cycle.

After the dough cycle is finished, roll the dough into a large rectangle and spread it with 2 Tablespoons melted butter and 2/3 cup brown sugar mixed with 1 Tablespoon cinnamon.

Roll up and cut into 10-15 rolls and place in two greased round cake pans.

Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes or until browned.

Spread the icing on as soon as they come out of the oven.

If you want to make the dough and roll out the rolls the night before (which is what I did and why you don't see pictures of the first few steps...it was like 11 o'clock and I was tired. *lol*) you can put plastic wrap over the cake pans and stick them in the fridge until you are ready to bake them in the morning.

  1. we do this at christmas time, but i think i might be inspired to make some this weekend! i add 1/4 C mashed potatoes to mine--makes them light and fluffy--but it totally sounds weird!

  3. Mmm mmm mmm. Now I feel like a fraud. My kids just ate peanut butter and jelly on graham crackers with blackberries for breakfast. Don't tell! Sometimes you just have to give in.

I'll be over for some of these and a cuppa coffee!

Thanks for being a wonderful part of my SITS day, it means the world to me to have my long time bloggie pals come play!

    Lots of yummy love,

  4. If you put your rolls in the fridge overnight can you just put them in the oven, or do you have to let them get to room temp. first? Please excuse the basic question, I've never done this before, but looks yummy!

My first visit to your blog, and what an enticing visit it was!
