This week's Muffin Tin Monday theme is back to school. Dawson has not been a big fan of meal time lately, I can barely get him to eat! Lunch is the only meal that he will eat more than a couple of bites... I'm thinking I'm going to have to start serving him sandwiches for breakfast, lunch and dinner since it seems like that is all that he wants to eat! Hopefully this is just a short phase and he'll be my good eater again in no time.*crosses fingers*
Here's his "back to school" lunch...
Top row: books (grilled cheese), pencils (lil crunchies), apples for the teacher (I hope she likes diced apples!)
Bottom row: books (grilled cheese), gold stars (banana puffs), more apples for the teacher

Dawson ate half of his sandwich, half of the apples, all of the little crunchies and most of the puffs. Not too bad! Especially considering he only had a mini blueberry muffin and 4 bites of yogurt for breakfast... I don't know why he won't eat breakfast or dinner anymore. At least he still likes lunch!
To see what others have come up with this week head on over to Muffin Tin Mom.
Cute grilled cheese "books"!
ReplyDeleteGood luck getting Dawson to eat more for breakfast and dinner... every kid goes through weird eating phases so I'm sure it will level out soon!
I love ur creative tin! Well done
ReplyDeleteReally nice tin! I have friends whose children are not into breakfast. My son wakes up and say, "Eat."
ReplyDeleteI meant to say JDaniel says not say. I read the sentence again after I click and was so embarrassed.
ReplyDeleteVery clever!!
ReplyDeletei love the books too! great job! :)
ReplyDeleteDawson is an adorable baby! :)
ReplyDeletecute tin! my little guy (4yo) is always hungry--but he will only eat fruit and veg (most moms wouldn't complain, i know, but it's hard fixing food all day!)! won't touch a sandwich! nothing to fill up stomach = always hungry! eating/feeding sure is frustrating sometimes!
ReplyDeleteVery Creative!
ReplyDeleteOh, that is just TOO perfect!! And now, I'm totally craving grilled cheese "books." Ha! :)
ReplyDeletegreat "books"!
ReplyDeletegreat tin as always :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea with the "pencils"!
ReplyDeleteThose little guys love to go through little phases ... just to keep us on our toes! ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a yummy lunch - and I am sure teachers love diced apples.
Your books are so cute.
ReplyDeleteHow hungry must you be if a toddler's meal looks good? Yeah, I'm there. lol. Pregnancy is making me enormous. lol.
ReplyDeleteSo creative. great work. I find that children go through stages of eating very little and then eating you out of house and home. So long as they seem healthy and happy I don't worry to much, there is always food available when they want it.
ReplyDeleteI think that's such a cute idea. Actually, those books look pretty delicious right now.
ReplyDeleteOwh, Jamie... what can I say? I always love your Muffin Tin Monday category. It's always ah-ma-zing! I don't have a kid (yet), so I guess I'm going to give it a go with my hubs ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration :)
