You just need 3 simple ingredients:
- Cake Mix (I used yellow cake mix, but I'd imagine that any flavor would be great. I plan on trying chocolate next!)
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
Mix together the ingredients
Roll the "dough" into small balls (about 1 inch or so)
Bake for 10-12 minutes @ 350
Makes about 2 dozen
Before I put them in the oven I rolled a few of the balls in red and green sugar. I also rolled one in sprinkles, and another in confetti, just to see how they would turn out and honestly there isn't a single cookie that I didn't like.
I also used Wilton's Cookie Icing and Holiday Mix Sprinkles to decorate some of the cookies.
I love this time of year! I have a lot more baking and some Christmas crafts that I want to do and I'll be posting everything in my blog. So check back often because there will be new stuff up at least a few times a week. :-)
Ooh, lovely! Very Christmasy and delicious looking.

ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to try cake mix cookies and maybe the holiday season is the perfect to try making them.
ReplyDeleteQuestion for you - do you think that the dough could be cut using cookie cutters or is it not that type of dough?
Those look like so much fun and so festive!
